Our Institute brings together academics, entrepreneurs and technology visionaries to explore and test new solutions to the macro issues, challenges and opportunities related to the re-invention of financial services. We liaise with academic institutions and government agencies for events and forums; publication of research, white papers and books; and development of the next generation of finance leaders.
The Anthemis Fellowship is a 6-month innovation program based in London designed to develop the entrepreneurial talent of financial services in the digital and information age. The Fellowship’s course is based on our own iterative, bespoke venture design process that incorporates frameworks like design thinking, systems thinking and lean startup methodology to design new, disruptive businesses. Our fellows’ journeys take them through a series of divergent and convergent thinking, in individual as well as group models, across four key decision gates: discover, define, develop and deliver.
Previous fellows have gone on to pursue paths as startup founders, academics, and investment associates, at Anthemis and elsewhere. More information, including personal stories from the fellows themselves, is available on the Anthemis Fellowship website.
Anthemis continues its close collaboration with Carlota Perez, renowned academic and author of the definitive book on our shift from the Industrial Age to the Information Age, Technological Revolutions and Financial Capital: The Dynamics of Bubbles and Golden Ages. Our multi-year research initiative with Carlota investigates the critical themes and structural changes that have, and will, impact the way the financial services industry operates.
The Anthemis Academy is an experiment in deep, immersive, experiential learning for financial services leaders and entrepreneurs. Its focus is to examine, and re-invent, the way learning takes place in a future filled with distributed networks of knowledge and talent. The Academy is currently in incubation stage drawing on collaboration with members of our ecosystem as well as the Advisory practice’s Digital Culture team.
