Luís Torres

Luís is an Associate at Anthemis, where he helps the team monitor, evaluate and report on investment and portfolio activities. He joined the firm from his MBA at Oxford, where he specialised in finance and chaired the Oxford Business Network for Latin America (2017-18).  Prior to this, Luís served the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency in Miami, US where he helped a wide range of Latin American businesses develop their growth and foreign direct investment strategies.

Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, Luís holds an MBA from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, an MSc in International Business from Barcelona School of Management, Pompeu Fabra University, and a BA in Business Administration from the Federal University of Amazonas, Brazil.

Having led and engaged in social impact initiatives in Brazil, Colombia and India, Luís has been recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper. From attending extended silent retreats in the Himalayas to bungee jumping in New Zealand, he rarely says no to experiencing new cultures and adventures.
