Will Nelligan is Head of Intellectual Capital at Anthemis. He has spent his career building practicable connections between academic research, social movements, and financial markets.
At Anthemis, Will leads the firm’s research and impact work — maintaining our vantage into emerging fields and market forces, and managing our agenda for financial systems change. He also leads our efforts to launch an “asset manager for ideas,” investing in social science research and cultivating its practical expression in financial systems.
At the Robin Hood Foundation, where he was Chief of Staff, Will developed the pioneering R&D infrastructure that created a national groundswell of philanthropic funding for social entrepreneurship. At JFl, where he was a managing director, Will developed novel financial products that blended concessionary and institutional capital to scale social returns. A nationally-renowned expert on impact investing and research entrepreneurship, Will is an advisor to Percapita and the National Trust for Local News
